Actors and Roles

 

The "actors" (also known as "roles") are all the different people who will use the Library Staff Scheduler. The administrator can be anyone; but involvement is limited to software administration.  The scheduler may be a supervisor or anyone who has approval authority for scheduling and scheduling changes.  The staff member will be anyone, including the scheduler or administrator, who would be included in a printed (or posted) schedule.

 

Administrator

  • assign roles to other people
  • enter any configuration parameter
  • print the schedule
  •  

 

Staff Member

  • view the schedule
  • request schedule change
  • request vacation time, personal time, training day, meetings
  • print the schedule

 

Scheduler

  • review schedule requests
  • enter scheduling parameters
  • approve requests, make changes to schedule
  • print the schedule
  • note: staffing desk, training, meetings, programs
